For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 37,722 million against JPY 44,424 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 17,783 million against JPY 24,982 million a year ago. Ordinary profit was JPY 17,757 million against JPY 24,699 million a year ago. Profit before income taxes and current net earnings were JPY 17,734 million against JPY 24,660 million a year ago. Net profit was JPY 11,172 million against JPY 15,029 million a year ago. For the month of July, the company expects non-consolidated net sales to be JPY 11 billion. For the second quarter, the company reported impairment loss of JPY 23 million against JPY 39 million a year ago.

GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. to Start to Air its First TV Commercial for Summons Board

GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. will start to air its first TV commercial nationwide for Summons Board, a new-generation board game currently available for iOS and AndroidTM. Summons Board represents a new-generation board game equipped with role-playing game (RPG) features. Specifically, this game allows the user to move the monster left and right and up and down on a 4x4 board, having it beat the boss waiting at the back of the dungeon. The user can play the game in an easy-to-use but highly strategic way by moving the monster on the board, while making the most of its characteristics, based on three battle elements: arrow, combo, and skills. In addition, the user can enjoy playing this game alone as well as with other players using the ranking battle function, which makes it possible to have another player's monster appear on the screen as the enemy of the user's monster, allowing it to engage in a battle with Al. This game is also equipped with other elements such as monster subjugation that takes place in a dimly lit room inside a medieval fortress, and this enables the user to battle the boss monster in cooperation with members of the guild. In the first half of the commercial, a player battles the strong boss monster in a dimly lit room inside a medieval fortress, but gets into a desperate situation after the player's monster is attacked and defeated by the boss monster. Then the player thinks of the next move desperately, comes up with a great idea, and starts attacking the boss monster by reviving the beaten monster and using strong skills. In the latter half of the commercial, various battle scenes of Summons Board appear. TV viewers will be able to enjoy looking at Summons Board for a few seconds, seeing the strong boss monster and other monsters in battle scenes, and experiencing the monsters' movements, game features and exhilarating feelings given by the combo.
