As of February 28, 2015, the company operated 70 stores with an average size of approximately 19,000 selling square feet in 25 states and the District of Columbia. It also offers its products directly to customers through its Website and call center, as well as sells to various retailers and distributors, and on a wholesale basis. The company was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Coppell, Texas.

The Container Store Group, Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended February 28, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of $224,259,000 compared to $216,822,000 a year ago. Income from operations was $21,606,000 compared to $20,630,000 a year ago. Income before taxes was $17,451,000 compared to $16,300,000 a year ago. Net income available to common shareholders was $13,048,000 or $0.27 per basic and diluted share compared to $18,340,000 or $0.38 per basic and diluted share a year ago. EBITDA was $30,018,000 against $28,363,000 a year ago. Adjusted net income was $11,757,000 or $0.24 per diluted share compared to $10,685,000 or $0.22 per diluted share a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $31,252,000 compared to $29,279,000 a year ago. For the year, the company reported net sales of $781,866,000 compared to $748,538,000 a year ago. Net income is expected to be $0.30 to $0.38 per diluted common share based on estimated diluted common shares outstanding of 49 million. This assumes a tax rate of approximately 39% for the full year. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between $85 million to $91 million. This outlook incorporates approximately $4.5 million of expenses, or $0.06 per diluted common share, associated with the implementation of the above outlined core initiatives, which will be heavily weighted to the first half of the fiscal year. In addition, it includes an assumed $0.01 per diluted common share impact from the West Coast port delays that will also be realized in the first half of fiscal 2015. The company expects to incur approximately $49 million in CapEx. For the first quarter of fiscal 2015, the company expects comparable store sales to be down 3% to 4% including an estimated 1.0% comparable store sales impact associated with the port delays. First quarter fiscal 2015 loss per diluted common share is expected to be $0.12 to $0.14 which includes an estimated $0.02 per diluted common share impact from the aforementioned initiative spend as well as an estimated $0.01 per diluted common share impact from lost sales and higher freight costs associated with the port delays.
