D-Link Wins Three Major State and Local Government 2015 Contracts

D-Link announced it has been awarded three state contracts for its business-class products and services, including the PEPPM Technology and Purchasing Program, Texas DIR purchasing contract and WSCA NASPO Data Communications. Delivering reliable, networking products with the value and performance sought out by state and local government agencies, D-Link® switches, storage, wireless solutions, and IP Surveillance systems are now available at pre-negotiated, competitive price points through these state and consortium buying contracts. PEPPM has been the bid program of choice for U.S. K-12 schools, colleges, universities, libraries, and government agencies since its conception in 1982. Established to reduce the time, effort and cost of purchasing technology, PEPPM ensures the best price, adheres to statutes and regulations, maintains all bid documentation, and delivers a reliable, convenient and easy-to-use bidding and purchasing process. PEPPM is specifically focused on education and reaches out to all schools that apply for E-Rate funding. D-Link offers any eligible government agencies a pre-negotiated discount off listed MSRP prices. The contract was awarded January 1 and is eligible for one year and is then re-bid. The Texas DIR purchasing contract is available to state, county and local agencies in Texas, and is also available to public education entities in other states. Texas DIR specializes in information technology procurement to ensure the best technological solutions are offered to its participants at a competitive advantage, and is the exclusive authority for IT commodities and services. The program saves customers money by delivering the best price for much needed equipment, and saves time by eliminating a lengthy, and often cumbersome bid process. All D-Link business-class products and services are eligible under this contract until September 25, 2018. NASPO is a nonprofit association of directors of the central purchasing offices in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia and territories of the United States. WSCA-NASPO represents a unified, nationally focused cooperative purchasing program that is a subsidiary of NASPO. As the leading public sector cooperative purchasing organization, the WSCA-NASPO contract delivers pre-negotiated discounts to any state or local government entity in the country, providing a range of D-Link networking software, security, switches, and wireless solutions. Those eligible to use the WSCA-NASPO cooperative contracts are states, cities, countries, public schools, institutions of higher education, and other eligible entities such as nonprofits. All D-Link business-class products and services are eligible under this contract until May 31, 2019.
Kingston Public School District Installs D-Link IP Cameras to Increase Security

Kingston Public School turned to D-Link to implement IP cameras, storage solutions and video management software to enable a safer learning environment. Kingston went through several rounds of vendor evaluations and end-user walk-throughs before learning about D-Link from Preferred Technology Solutions. The district had looked into network cameras a few years prior, but the price quotes were always out of range. The combination of camera quality and price led Kingston to work with D-Link on a product demonstration for the school board. Kingston moved forward with installing an initial 160 IP cameras and SAN storage, plus Video Insight for video management software, and within three weeks had all four campuses completely outfitted with new IP surveillance technology, making its vision a reality. Soon after the initial installation, Kingston added 12 more cameras to the mix and that number may soon increase again in the next few years, the district plans to build a new middle school to accommodate student growth.
