Joy City Property Limited reported unaudited consolidated results for the six months ended June 30, 2015. For the period, the company reported revenue of RMB 2,224,304,000 compared to RMB 2,986,563,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was RMB 1,035,933,000 compared to RMB 2,397,264,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was RMB 596,329,000 or 4.9 cents basic per share compared to RMB 1,312,269,000 or 13.7 cents basic per share a year ago. For the six months ended 30 June 2015, the Group's operating revenue decreased 25.5% as compared to the corresponding period of 2014, mainly due to the decrease in revenue from sales of properties as a result of the shortage of properties for sale which can be accounted for. The year-on-year decrease in profit was mainly attributable to the lesser increase in the fair value of the Group's investment properties as compared to that for the corresponding period last year; the decrease in revenue from the sales of the properties which was due to the decrease in the total gross floor area sold and delivered by the Group; and the relevant costs and expenses which has yet to be covered by the revenue incurred from the Group's hotel projects newly put into operation during their early development stage.
