In addition, it designs and constructs environmental facilities comprising community drainage system, water supply and sewerage, waste water treatment, and total energy management (saving) system; and information and telecommunication facilities consisting of cable television, base stations for mobile communications, and local area network for factories and buildings. Further, the company is engaged in the survey, design, and construction of renewable energy facilities, such as solar and wind power generation. It operates in Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Japan. The company was founded in 1944 and is headquartered in Fukuoka, Japan.

Kyocera, Gaia Power, Kyudenko and Century Tokyo Leasing Announce Construction of 92MW Solar Power Plant in Japan

Kyocera Corporation, K.K. GAIA POWER, Kyudenko Corporation and Century Tokyo Leasing Corporation announced that the companies have made a joint investment in Kanoya Osaki Solar Hills LLC to construct and operate a 92-megawatt (MW) solar power plant. Planned for construction on a site stretching across Kanoya City and Osaki Town in Kagoshima Prefecture, the project will become the large solar installations in Japan. This Smart News Release features multimedia. Under the agreement, Kanoya Osaki Solar Hills LLC will operate the site, and a joint venture established by Kyudenko and Gaia Power will undertake the design, construction and maintenance of the solar installation. Kyocera will supply its high-efficiency solar modules, and Century Tokyo Leasing will arrange financing. Approximately JPY 35 billion (approx. USD 290 million) in investment is planned for the project, with a goal to start construction in the second half of fiscal year 2016 (October 2015 to March 2016) and begin operations in fiscal year 2018 (April 2017 to March 2018).

ORIX Corporation and Kyudenko Corporation announced that they will jointly begin constructing a large-scale solar power plant (mega-solar) with a maximum output of 11.1 MW (11,081kW) on a piece of land located in Uki city, Kumamoto prefecture. Location: 1374 Uchikoshi, Uchida, Matsubase-machi, Uki city, Kumamoto prefecture; Power Generation Capacity (module capacity): 11,081kW; Installation area: Approx. 145,780m2; Number of installed panels: 43,456; Projected annual power generation (First fiscal year): 11,435,400kWh (planned) Equivalent to the annual power consumption of approximately 3,175 households; Project owner: Solar Farm Matsubase Limited Liability Company; Construction and Maintenance/Operation: Kyudenko; Start of construction: February 1, 2015; Start of operations: September, 2016 (planned).
