It is engaged in the electrical installation works, such as lighting and outlet equipments, and substation and plat equipment works, as well as video, audio, television, and broadcasting equipment works; energy-related works comprising wind and solar power generation, cogeneration, energy-saving power supply, and in-house power generation system activities; and environment-related works, such as recycling and heat storage system works. The company also constructs transmission lines and distribution lines, drop lines, and underground lines; office, household water, and sewage facilities, as well as industrial water supply and sewage facilities; constructs, repairs, and rehabilitates roads and buildings; renews building facilities; and renovates houses. In addition, it is involved in the Internet Intranet equipment, CATV disaster prevention radio and telephone equipment, LAN equipment, optical communication equipment, mobile radio communication equipment, system integration, integrated information wiring, and OA floor equipment works; air-conditioning and pipe equipment works that include air-conditioning, water supply and drainage, health and environmental facilities, and clean room system works; and disaster prevention and fire fighting equipment works. Further, the company designs, manufactures, sells, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical equipment, such as distribution boards, supervisory boards, control panels, power supply equipment, communication equipment, high-voltage equipment, and various measuring instruments; and plans, develops, sells, leases, operates, and maintains information processing system and software. Additionally, it provides consulting and maintenance services consisting of energy saving diagnosis and support services, as well as disaster prevention and fire fighting equipment inspection services. The company was founded in 1944 and is headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan.

ORIX Corporation, Chudenko Corporation to Build 4.7MW Solar Plant in Okayama

Orix Corp. and Chudenko Corp. announced that they will start to construct a 4.669MW solar power plant in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. The power producer for the mega solar power plant, "Higashinozaki Solar Power Plant," is OC Solar Corp, which is an SPC (special purpose company) jointly established by the two companies. The investment ratios of Orix and Chudenko are 70% and 30%, respectively. They formed an alliance to promote a solar power generation business in the Chugoku region of Japan in March 2014. And the construction of the plant is their first joint project. The mega solar plant will be built on idled land that Naikai Engyou (Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture), which manufactures and sells salt, owns in Higashinozaki, Tamano City. The area of the construction site is 54,464m2, and 18,676 solar panels will be installed. The construction will begin May 7, 2015, and the plant will start power generation in March 2016. It is expected to generate 5,580,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 1,550 households, per year. For the plant, Chudenko will provide construction services while Toshiba Corp. and Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corp. (TMEIC) will supply solar panels and PV inverters, respectively.
