The company is also involved in the exploitation, processing, and sale of copper ore concentrates, silver, and other mineral resources in the Yunnan Province of the People’s Republic of China. It holds a 100% interest in the Marillana, Ophthalmia, and West Pilbara iron ore projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia; and a 40% interest in the Irwin–Coglia nickel-laterite project in Western Australia, as well as a 100% interest in the Damajianshan mine located in Qimaba Township, Luchun County of Yunnan Province in the People’s Republic of China. The company was formerly known as Wah Nam International Holdings Limited and changed its name to Brockman Mining Limited in September 2012. Brockman Mining Limited is based in Central, Hong Kong.

Brockman Mining Limited announced consolidated unaudited earnings results for the six months ended December 31, 2014. For the period, the company reported revenue of HKD 31,336,000 against HKD 29,077,000 a year ago. Loss before income tax was HKD 237,810,000 against HKD 107,507,000 a year ago. Loss for the period from continuing operations was HKD 235,760,000 against HKD 107,507,000 a year ago. Loss for the period was HKD 235,760,000 against HKD 106,929,000 a year ago. Loss for the period attributable to equity holders of the company was HKD 235,760,000 against HKD 105,268,000 a year ago. The change was mainly attributable to the impairment loss charged to the income statement. Diluted loss per share was HKD 2.81 against HKD 1.33 a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was HKD 74,905,000 against HKD 62,608,000 a year ago. Purchases of property, plant and equipment was HKD 789,000 against HKD 1,710,000 a year ago. The increase in revenue reflects an increased sales volume by 14.4% despite the average copper price has dropped by 5.6%.

Brockman Mining Limited Announces Executive Changes

Brockman Mining Limited announced that Mr. Colin Paterson, who has been the chief executive officer of Brockman Mining Australia Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, is appointed as an executive director of the company with effect from 25 February 2015. On the same date, Mr. Warren Talbot Beckwith, who has been an executive director of the company, is re-designated as a non-executive Director of the company. Mr. Warren Talbot Beckwith, aged 75, joined the Company as a non-executive director since June 2012 and was re-designated as an Executive Director on 20 November 2013. Mr. Beckwith is also a non-executive director of certain subsidiaries of the Company. The company also announces that Mr. Kwai Kwun, an executive director of the Company, has been appointed as an authorised representative of the Company under Rule 3.05 if the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited with immediate effect. Mr. Paterson was one of the founding executive directors and chief executive officer of the then Brockman Resources Limited (subsequently acquired by the Company in 2012), and is an integral member of the team progressing infrastructure solutions for the iron ore project in Western Australia.
