Agricultural Bank of China Limited provides corporate and retail banking products and services in the Mainland China and internationally. It operates through Corporate Banking, Personal Banking, Treasury Operations, and Others segments. The company’s deposit products include demand, call, foreign currency time, foreign currency call, time or demand optional, foreign exchange demand, foreign exchange call, negotiated, agreed-term, and foreign exchange time deposits; and loans comprise housing, consumer, business, fixed asset, working capital, real estate, entrusted syndicated, and small enterprise loans, as well as trade finances, guarantees and commitments, and loans with custody of export rebates accounts. It also provides credit card, debit card, payment and settlement, private banking, cash management, investment and wealth management, investment banking, custody, financial market, and financial institution services, as well as trading and wealth management services. In addition, the company offers agro-related personal and corporate banking products and services; personal and online, telephone, mobile, self-service, SMS, and television banking services; financial leasing services; and life, health, and accident insurance, as well as reinsurance products. As of December 31, 2014, it had 23,612 branches in China; and 8 overseas branches and 2 overseas representative offices. Agricultural Bank of China Limited was founded in 1951 and is based in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China.

Agricultural Bank of China Limited announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the year, operating income was RMB 140,643 million against RMB 136,674 million a year ago. Net interest income was RMB 109,442 million against RMB 103,142 million a year ago. Profit before tax was RMB 70,200 million against RMB 70,311 million a year ago. Net profit attributable to equity holders of the Bank was RMB 54,116 million against RMB 53,430 million a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share were RMB 0.17 against RMB 0.16 a year ago. Net cash from operating activities was RMB 385,266 million against RMB 172,274 million a year ago. Cash paid for purchase of property, equipment and other assets was RMB 3,228 million against RMB 5,027 million a year ago. Operating income was RMB 140,643 million against RMB 136,674 million a year ago. Cash paid for purchase of investment securities was RMB 320,448 million against RMB 174,328 million a year ago. Annualized return on average total assets and annualized return on weighted average net assets reached 1.32% and 21.28%, representing a decrease of 0.11 percentage point and a decrease of 3.19 percentage points, over the same period of 2014, respectively. The company announced impairment losses on assets amounted to RMB 20,088 million, representing an increase of RMB 6,748 million over the same period of 2014.
