China Coal Energy Company Limited reported production and sales results for the month ended January 2017. For the month, the company reported production volume of commercial coal was 6,900,000 tonnes against 7,320,000 a year ago. Production volume of polyethylene was 31,000 tonnes against 34,000 tonnes a year ago. Production volume of urea was 207,000 tonnes against 197,000 tonnes a year ago. Production volume of methanol was 75,000 tonnes against 53,000 tonnes a year ago. For the month, the company reported sales volume of commercial coal of 6,630,000 tonnes against 9,650,000 a year ago. Sales volume of polyethylene was 24,000 tonnes against 38,000 tonnes a year ago. Sales volume of urea was 126,000 tonnes against 137,000 tonnes a year ago. Sales volume of methanol was 19,000 tonnes against 63,000 tonnes a year ago.

The third session of the board of directors of China Coal Energy Company Limited announced that, at the first Board meeting in 2017 of the third session of the Board held on 22 January 2017, Mr. Chai Qiaolin has been appointed as the chief financial officer of the Company with immediate effect. The terms of offices of Mr. Chai Qiaolin is from 22 January 2017 to the date of constitution of the fourth session of the Board and the appointment of the new session of the senior management of the Company by the fourth session of the Board. Mr. Chai Qiaolin is the Deputy Chief Accountant, the Manager of Finance Department of the Company.
