The company’s High-Grade Metal Products and Materials segment primarily provides Yasugi Specialty Steel branded molds and tool steel products, alloys for electronic products, industrial equipment materials, aircraft and energy related materials, and precision cast components; and rolls for steel mills, injection molding machine parts, structural ceramic products, steel-frame joints for construction, Metglas amorphous metals, soft ferrite and FINEMET nanocrystalline magnetic materials, and applied products. It’s Magnetic Materials and Applications segment primarily offers NEOMAX rare-earth magnets; ferrite magnets; and other magnets and applied products, as well as ceramic components. The company’s High-Grade Functional Components and Equipment segment primarily provides casting components for automobiles, such as HNM high-grade ductile cast iron products, cast iron products for transportation equipment, and HERCUNITE heat-resistant exhaust casting components; SCUBA aluminum wheels and other aluminum components; forged components for automobiles; and pipe fittings, stainless steel and plastic piping components, water cooling equipment, precision mass flow control devices, and sealed expansion tanks under the Gourd brand. It’s Wires, Cables, and Related Products segment primarily offers industrial cables, electronic wires, electric equipment materials, and industrial rubber products; cable assemblies; electronic components for automotives and brake hoses; wireless systems; and APRESIA M information networks products. The company was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Hitachi Metals, Ltd. is a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd.
