It provides gas appliances under the TGC, SIMPA, and Bauhinia brands, as well as after-sales services. The company also acts as a piped city-gas operator, serving approximately 21 million residential, commercial, and industrial customers; and operates LPG filling stations, landfill gas utilization projects, aviation fuel storage facility, and onshore oil field projects. In addition, it focuses on the development of new energy projects covering resource exploitation, liquefaction of coalbed methane, coal-based chemicals, biomass energies, vehicular fuels, logistic hubs, and related facilities. Further, the company offers a range of customer services, such as consultancy, construction, and maintenance in various engineering projects; operates as a utility contractor for water, drainage, sewerage, electricity, and telecommunications projects; provides telecommunication infrastructure services for telecom carriers, service providers, and large corporations; and supplies water and treats wastewater, as well as offers smart gas meters and metering systems, and polyethylene piping systems. Additionally, it engages in the property development and investment activities; design, construction, installation, and commissioning of landfill gas treatment plants, liquefied nitrogen, and dry ice production plants; provision of product development, solution implementation, and system integration, computing, and consulting services, as well as other IT products; and appliance testing, customers center, café, restaurant, retail sale, aviation fuel, chemical, coal related, logistics, oil, vehicular fuel refilling station, financing, and securities investment businesses. The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited was founded in 1862 and is based in North Point, Hong Kong.
