Everlight Electronics Co. Ltd. Introduces New High-Speed 8-Pin Sop Logic Gate Optocoupler for Industrial Applications

Everlight Electronics Co. Ltd. announced the introduction of a new single channel 8-pin SOP 3.3V 15MBit/s logic gate optocoupler for preferential use in industrial applications. The EL071L consists of an infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a CMOS detector IC. An SMD device, it is packaged in a small outline 8-pin SOP for ease of use in designs with limited PCB real estate. Due to a fast data transmission rate of 15Mbps, the EL071L is perfectly suited for serial and field bus interface isolation in industrial applications, including data transmission for line receivers, data multiplexing, switching power supplies, pulse transformer replacement, computer peripheral interface and high speed logic ground isolation. Other important features include both 3.3V and 5V CMOS compatibility, a high CMR of more than 10,000 V/µs for higher/superior anti-interference, and 10kV/µs minimum common mode transient immunity. The guaranteed temperature operation performance ranges from -40 to 110°C. In addition, the EL071L also features a high isolation voltage between input and output of 3,750 Vrms. EVERLIGHT's new high-speed optocoupler EL071L is Pb-free, halogen-free and RoHS compliant. Sample Available: Yes. (Upon request). Mass Production starts in fourth quarter of 2015.

Everlight Electronics Co. Ltd. Introduces New Member of its ITR Series of Reflective Sensors

Everlight Electronics Co. Ltd. introduced a new member of its ITR series of reflective sensors for use in printers, copiers, scanners and for non-contact switching environments like a proximity sensor. The reflective type opto interrupter ITR1201SR10A/TR is a light reflection switch which includes a GaAs IR-LED and an NPN phototransistor with a highly photosensitive receiver for short distances, operating in the infrared range. Other key features are a fast response time, a very stable collector current, a cut-off visible wavelength of below 700 nm and an improved MSL (moisture sensitivity level) from level 4 to 3. A characteristic of EVERLIGHT's ITR product range is the double molding manufacturing process. Compared to the traditional glue dispense manufacturing process, double molding results in a smoother surface which not only enhances the look but also raises the reliability. A flat profile of only 1.5 mm makes the new ITR1201 is even more compact. EVERLIGHT's reflective and transmissive optical ICs of the ITR family are Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
