Toyota Releases Updated Prius C in Australia

Toyota has released an updated Prius C hatchback in Australia featuring new infotainment technology and revised styling. Key updates include standard satellite navigation across the two-variant range, and a new 4.2-inch multi-information display (MID), replacing the previous 3.5-inch display. In terms of exterior changes, the updated model now measures 4,050 mm in length, 55 mm longer than before, and has a larger grille, revised headlights and LED tail-lights, and new 15-inch alloy wheels for the i-Tech variant. Safety features include ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, along with anti-lock braking system and hill-start assist control, and seven SRS airbag. The automaker has kept the pricing of the entry-level Prius C at AUD 24,040, while the Prius C i-Tech variant starts from AUD 26,540. The updated Prius C is powered by the same 54-kW, 1.5-litre 4-cylinder gasoline (petrol) engine and a 45-kW electric motor. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Toyotahas collaborated with Servco Pacific Inc. The collaboration is aimed at testing a new car-sharing technology in Honolulu, Hawaii. When the employee-only pilot testing programme concludes, Servco, will use the car-sharing technology to launch a new Honolulu-based car share business by the end of 2017. Toyota Launches Yaris Ativ Compact Sedan in Thailand

Toyota has launched the Yaris Ativ compact sedan in Thailand. The vehicle measures 4,425 mm in length, 1,730 mm in width, 1,475 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,550 mm. It powered by a 1.2-litre gasoline (petrol) engine, mated to a continuously variable transmission. The engine produces maximum power of 63 kW and maximum torque of 108 Nm. The vehicle is available in five trim levels and is priced between THB469,000 and THB 619,000. The company aims to sell around 4,700 units of the vehicle per month in the country.
