Air China Limited announced audited consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, the company reported compared to the turnover of RMB 105,884,322,000, profit from operations of RMB 7,261,647,000, profit before taxation of RMB 5,064,861,000, profit attributable to equity shareholders of the company of RMB 3,817,469,000 or 31.05 cents per basic and diluted share compared to turnover of RMB 98,180,790,000, profit from operations of RMB 4,118,064,000, profit before taxation of RMB 4,518,093,000, profit attributable to equity shareholders of the company of RMB 3,263,642,000 or 26.55 cents per basic and diluted share for the same period in previous year. In 2014, the company's capital expenditure amounted to a total of RMB 15,220 million, of which the total investment in aircraft and engines was RMB 13,155 million. Other capital expenditure amounted to RMB 2,065 million, which was mainly spent on high-cost rotables, aircraft modifications, flight simulators, infrastructure construction, IT system construction, ground equipment procurement and cash component of the long-term investments. Air China Limited Recommends the Payment of Final Dividend for the Year Ended December 31, 2014

Air China Limited announced the board recommends the payment of a final dividend of RMB 0.5223 (including tax) per ten shares for the year ended December 31, 2014, totaling approximately RMB 683 million based on the company's total issued shares of 13,084,751,004. A resolution for the dividend payment will be submitted for consideration at the 2014 annual general meeting of the Company. The dividend will be denominated and declared in RMB. A further announcement regarding the book closure period and further information relating to the payment of dividends will be made by the company in due course.

Air New Zealand and Air China Unveils Alliance on Services Between China and New Zealand

Air New Zealand and Air China have released details of a proposed alliance on services between China and New Zealand. The alliance, subject to regulatory approvals, would see Air China introduce a daily direct service between Beijing and Auckland. The Chinese flag carrier would also continue to codeshare on Air New Zealand's daily Shanghai Auckland service which will be operated exclusively by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft from 24 August. The proposed alliance would further open up Beijing as a new market to and from New Zealand and the airlines aim to almost double sustainable capacity between China and New Zealand while delivering a range of other benefits to travellers including greater frequency and network connections.
