Pacific Hydro Receives Construction Contracts for Yaloak South Wind Farm

Pacific Hydro announced that the construction contracts for the Yaloak South Wind Farm have been awarded marking a key milestone in the project. The balance of plant contract has been awarded to the WBHO-RCR Joint Venture (WRJV), and includes civil, electrical, and structure construction works. The turbine supply and install contract has been awarded to Senvion, and includes the supply of 14 Senvion MM92 wind turbines, blades, towers, and associated electrical infrastructure. The awarding of these contracts comes in advance of site mobilization and major construction activities due to commence early 2017.

Senvion Signs a Contract with Pacific Hydro

Senvion has signed a contract with Pacific Hydro to supply, install and service 14 MM92 turbines at the Yaloak South Wind Farm near Ballan, Victoria. The 28.7 megawatt (MW) wind farm will produce enough electricity to power nearly 16,000 households in Australia. Turbine installation is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
