SL Corporation Adds Windows 10 Support for SL-GMS J/Developer and J/Net Version 4.4A

SL Corporation, has added Windows 10 support in the latest release of SL-GMS J/Developer and J/Net, version 4.4a. SL-GMS J/Developer is a Java-based real-time dynamic GUI/HMI development tool for advanced control and monitoring systems and J/Net is an enhanced option for network management. For nearly 18 years, no other tool for creating custom command and control systems has come close to the speed and compactness of the Java code generated by SL-GMS J/Developer. First released in 1998, based on SL's special visualization and code generation technologies, SL-GMS J/Developer has been used to deploy many advanced monitoring systems worldwide, beyond operations floors and control rooms, to provide real-time monitoring views both internally and externally. SL continues to support such development and deployments today. The creation of content-rich and highly interactive GUIs or HMIs required by advanced control and monitoring systems can be easily and interactively edited using SL-GMSDraw. This tool enables rapid prototyping by allowing users to immediately preview the behaviors of their dynamic GUI in development using simulated data. Graphic models created with SL-GMSDraw can easily be reused among the other C++ and Microsoft .NET based SL-GMS products, providing a unified solution for advanced control and monitoring systems in different frameworks. Java code from SL-GMSDraw editor can be transparently deployed in a Java applet/Web browser, or as a Java application via Java Web Start or Desktop control. In addition, custom dynamic graphic objects can be generated to import into SL's RTView Core Builder, a Real-Time Data Management System Tool for monitoring distributed enterprise applications.

SL Corporation Announces Major Release of RTView Enterprise Monitor 3.0 Debuts New Navigation

SL Corporation has announced the major release of RTView Enterprise Monitor 3.0. At the forefront of this release is a completely re-envisioned navigation, designed to serve multiple types of users with different monitoring requirements and skill-levels, which is critical to successful monitoring consolidation efforts. RTView Enterprise Monitor is SL’s product that helps companies protect the health and stability of their middleware-powered applications and platforms. Through proactive monitoring of consolidated real-time and historical performance metrics, support professionals can predict developing error conditions and prevent them from becoming major severity 1 and 2 incidents. Operations or Level 1 Support Teams can quickly scroll through alert lists, filtered for their particular domain, and either take ownership or escalate critical alerts. The Service Tree groups health information into high-level summaries that can quickly drill down and can be customized to each individuals support domain. Middleware Teams get their own filtered view of middleware alerts and can view the health of their middleware platforms from a technology perspective using the Components view. The Service Tree view can also be optimized for their domain, including an application view so that they can see the impact of middleware alerts. Level 3 Application Support Teams, including architects and development professionals, can troubleshoot complex problems using service and application specific views and custom data flow diagrams that map application topography. Historical data allows one to analyze how the service is performing over time and make capacity requirement recommendations. RTView Enterprise Monitor 3.0 is available immediately to customers and free trials are available through www.sl.com.

SL Releases New 64-bit SL-GMS C++/Developer to Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

SL Corporation announced that it is releasing a new version 6.6 of its 64-bit SL-GMS C++/Developer product to support the native 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. SL-GMS C++/Developer, including its optional SL-GMS Custom Editor, is SL’s long-selling dynamic GUI/HMI development tool, enabling dynamic visualization of real-time data for the most advanced control systems. Since 1983, SL-GMS C++/Developer has evolved from UNIX to Windows and Linux, from 32-bit to 64-bit, and from C++ to ActiveX, Java and Microsoft .NET. SL-GMS has been used by the OEMs and VARs for developing mission-critical systems in control centers and control rooms around the world for process control, network management, traffic control and aerospace/defense applications. The content-rich, dynamic, real-time GUIs, or HMIs, required by these advanced control systems can be easily and interactively edited using SL-GMSDraw. This tool enables rapid prototyping by allowing users to immediately preview the behaviors of their dynamic GUI in development using simulated data. Additionally, the SL-GMS Custom Editor offers solution providers the ability to develop a solution-specific, easy-to-use authoring tool for its end users.
