Yale Expands Driven by Balyo Robotic Lift Truck Lineup
Mar 9 17
Yale offers a new addition to its automation lineup. The Yale® MO70T tow tractor now joins the company's MPE080-VG end rider model, using Driven by Balyo technology to autonomously navigate through warehouse environments and execute mission-critical load transportation tasks. Ideal for sequencing applications in assembly operations and stock replenishment, the MO70T is the second robotic solution available since Yale partnered its materials handling expertise with Balyo's navigation technology. Both the tow tractor and end rider solutions use infrastructure-free navigation technology that maps existing structural features to self-locate and navigate -- without requiring tape, wires or magnets for guidance. This enables reduced startup time and costs, and easy adjustment to changing layout configurations. By using robotic lift trucks, operations can achieve "cobotics," with employees and machines working side-by-side, allowing people to focus on more valuable roles, leaving repetitive, low value-added tasks to the robotic lift trucks. Both Driven by Balyo models from Yale can switch to manual mode by simply touching a button or grabbing hold of the tiller. Once the operator leaves the truck, it resumes regularly assigned workflows.
Yale Materials Handling Corporation Announces New Productivity Enhancing Three-Wheel Stand for Extreme Environments
Apr 1 15
Yale Materials Handling Corporation announced that it will be launching the new ESC030AD three-wheel stand for demanding retail, cold storage and food processing environments. With enhanced ergonomic features and a new Clear View mast, the three-wheel stand allows operators to stack and transport pallets with ease, helping to increase operational productivity. Equipped with a smart ride floor system, the three-wheel stand offers improved comfort by eliminating up to 65% of shock and vibrations transmitted to the operator from irregular floor surfaces, an advantage of 17% more isolation over the leading competitor. The system does not require adjustments for operator weight, and functions in environments with extreme temperatures and conditions like wash-down and food processing. Additionally, the trucks new side-stance control handle with proportional functionality enables precise load positioning, helping further improve operator confidence and productivity. The trucks Clear View mast delivers 20% to 40% greater visibility when compared to leading competitor configurations. With its unique nesting of mast channels, and relocated hoses and chain design, enhanced visibility is achieved. Additionally, the smaller 13 and 16 battery compartment offerings permit improved maneuverability in tight spaces, a critical feature for retail applications where product is transported through restricted aisle widths.
