Adacel Systems, Inc to supply Columbian AF with ATC tower simulator

Adacel Systems Inc. has been awarded a contract to supply an air traffic control (ATC) tower simulator system (TSS) to the Colombian Air Force, the company said. The Adacel MaxSim TSS will include four trainee positions for local control, ground control, flight data and radar control. The simulator includes Adacel's speech recognition system. A comprehensive instructor operating station (IOS) provides instructors with complete pseudo pilot functionality and the capability to control and modify the running scenario. The MaxSim simulator will be deployed to Bogota, Colombia. Instructor and operator training on the system functions will be conducted by Adacel on site at the installation facility following delivery. Adacel's ATC simulators are designed to provide air traffic controllers with hands-on practice that provide proficiency training to assist controllers achieve and maintain their certifications. Adacel is a developer of advanced simulation and training solutions, speech recognition applications and operational air traffic management systems.
Lockheed Martin Selects Adacel Systems Inc. for Simulated ATC Environment

Adacel Systems Inc. announced that the company has been awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin to provide a Simulated Air Traffic Control Environment software for Australia's Project AIR 5428 Pilot Training System. The Project AIR 5428 Pilot Training System will provide the Australian Defence Force with a new training system to take pilots from flight screening through basic and advanced flying training. Part of that system will include training on flight simulators. Adacel's Air Traffic Control in-a-Box will supply a Simulated Air Traffic Control Environment, for Flight Simulation Training Devices, which will complete the flight simulation experience by adding realistic virtual traffic and synthetic air traffic controllers to create a higher quality training environment.
Adacel to Provide Air Traffic Controller Training Services to Federal Aviation Administration

Adacel announced it has been subcontracted by Science Applications International Corporation to support the Federal Aviation Administration's Controller Training Contract. Under terms of the agreement, Adacel will perform training services in 23 of the FAA's Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities across seven states. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to provide all training and training program support services under the FAA Controller Training Contract (CTC). The single-award, firm-fixed-price and time and materials contract has a three-year period of performance, and two one-year options.
