L-Com, Inc. Key Developments

L-Com Launches Two New Series of USB 3.0

L-com Global Connectivity announced that it has launched two new series of USB 3.0 Type-C to Type-A cable assemblies that are ideal for data storage, video transfer and data acquisition applications. These cable assemblies have fully shielded, twisted pair data lines that provide protection against EMI/RFI, reduce crosstalk and allow for maximum cable flexibility. Type-C connectors allow for simple plug-and-play connections with hand held devices and other USB 3.0 Type-C devices. Both cable series are available in .3, .5, 1, 2 and 3 meter, and 3 foot lengths. L-com's USB 3.0 Type-C cable assemblies include 30u gold-plated connectors for repeated mating cycles, and fully molded connectors for excellent strain relief. They are ideal for mobile devices, computer peripheral devices, gaming, diagnostic tools and medical, military and aerospace applications.

L-com Global Connectivity Introduces New Angled USB 3.0 Type-A Cable Assemblies

L-com Global Connectivity announced that it has released a new line of angled USB 3.0 Type-A cable assemblies for applications that include data storage, video transfer and data acquisition. The company's new USB 3.0 Type-A cable assemblies are available in four connector configurations: Type-A to left-angle Type-A, Type-A to right-angle Type-A, Type-A to left-angle Micro-B and Type-A to right-angle Micro-B. These cables feature 360-degree shield termination and deliver data transfer speeds of 4.8 Gbps to meet USB 3.0 requirements. They are fully shielded for optimal protection from EMI/RFI, and feature two twisted pair 30 AWG cables with an aluminum/poly foil shield and drain wire. The company's angled USB 3.0 Type-A cable assemblies feature double shielding and robust cable jacketing to ensure reliable performance. These cables are ideal for high speed data transfer in tight spaces, for use with mobile devices, computer peripheral devices, gaming, diagnostic tooling, and medical and military aerospace applications. All of these new cable assemblies are available off-the-shelf in 0.3, 0.5, 1, 2, 3 and 5 meter lengths, with custom lengths available upon request.

L-com Global Connectivity Launches New Line of High-Performance Ethernet Mini-Couplers

L-com Global Connectivity announced that it has released a new line of Ethernet mini-couplers that are engineered to deliver exceptional performance in a very compact design. L-com's eight new mini-couplers provide the same performance and quality as full-size Ethernet couplers, but measure less than one inch in length. They are shorter and lighter than standard couplers which maximizes usable space behind the panel. This design provides more room for installers to work behind racks, panels or enclosures, improves air flow and reduces stress on cable exits, ensuring that the mating assembly's bend radius is not exceeded. These mini-couplers are available with three options: Cat5e or Cat6 rating, shielded or unshielded and either in-line or keystone-style. The keystone-style, snap-in couplers are easy to use and are ideal for patch panel and enclosure applications. The in-line couplers offer a versatile and economical way to couple two Ethernet cables, and their compact design allows them to be stacked vertically or horizontally with no space between couplers.
