Brose North America announced new manufacturing facility in Queretaro, Mexico, to expand its North American operations. Brose North America Launches New Production Facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina
Aug 17 16
Brose North America signed a lease on June 20, 2016 on an approximately 77,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The nearly $6 million investment will create more than 60 new jobs to produce door systems and systems for on-demand control of cooling air supply for Brose's automotive customers. The Spartanburg plant will produce Brose's light-weight carrier door systems and systems for on-demand control of cooling air supply for BMW. Light-weight door carriers enable a weight saving of 1.8 kilograms per car set, effectively supporting fuel efficiency and carbon dioxide emissions reduction. Systems for on-demand control of cooling air supply help vehicles run at optimal levels to reduce fuel consumption, improve engine temperature management, and enhance aerodynamics in large vehicles such as SUVs. Series production of both products is expected to begin in August 2017.
