VadaTech Inc. announces the AMC596, an FPGA module based on the Virtex UltraScaleTM XCVU440 FPGA. This the UltraScaleTM FPGAs, here supported by 8GB of 64-bit wide DDR4 and an on board Power PC P2040. The additional connectivity provided by PinoutPlus, over 250 Gbps between neighboring modules, makes the product ideal for ASIC emulation and demanding sensor processing applications. The AMC596 extends a rich product line of Virtex-7 and UltraScaleTM products covering PCIe edge, VPX and AMC form factors. With common architecture and supporting VHDL, users can easily port applications from one form factor to another to meet different environmental and market requirements.
VadaTech Launches FPGA AMC

VadaTech announced the AMC595, an Advanced Mezzanine Card or AdvancedMC (AMC) based on the Xilinx Virtex UltraScale XCVU440 FPGA, arguably the performance FPGA available. Aimed at compute-intensive applications such as large scale ASIC prototyping and emulation, the AMC595 builds on VadaTech's successful portfolio of products based on Xilinx UltraScale FPGAs, which includes single- and dual-FMC carriers, as well as a 56 GSPS ADC module. VadaTech's lead customer for the AMC595 is using the board for algorithm development and testing prior to deploying in an ASIC for high performance testing of next generation networks, including 5G. The on-board, re-configurable FPGA is supported by 16 GB DDR4 64-bit wide memory, which allows for large buffer sizes to be stored during processing as well as for queuing the data to the host. The FPGA has a flexible clocking subsystem and direct connections to the backplane to allow multiple FPGAs to interface without needing a switch. In addition to the Virtex UltraScale FPGA, VadaTech's AMC595 features a 1.2 GHz Freescale QorIQ P2040 processor, based on the Power Architecture, supported by 1 GB of DDR3, 128 MB of Boot Flash and a 32 GB SD card for simplified management and improved usability. The AMC595 is compliant to the AMC.1, AMC.2 and/or AMC.4 specification.
VadaTech and Seven Solutions Collaborate to Integrate White Rabbit and MicroTCA Technologies

VadaTech announced an exclusive agreement to integrate Seven Solutions' White Rabbit technology into its MicroTCA (TCA) products. White Rabbit is an Ethernet extension protocol that provides sub-nanosecond accuracy synchronization, originally developed by the high energy physics community but now being adopted by companies developing military, aerospace, communications and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications. This agreement will marry the best-of-breed White Rabbit technology with the best-of-breed MicroTCA products to enable customers to rapidly implement ultra-precise timing in large distributed networks. The technological solutions developed through this collaboration will provide the advantages of a unique blend of turnkey commercial products and scientific technology, offering performance, additional functionality, technical support and guarantees, and compatibility with an extensive range of products. The technology is designed to be highly scalable with up to thousands of nodes and to support distance ranges of 10 km using fiber cables.
