Fedbank Financial Services Limited non-banking financial arm of The Federal Bank Limited (NSEI:FEDERALBNK) is looking to raise INR 3 billion from private equity investors, and its management has appointed investment bank ICICI Securities Limited to look for buyers. Fedbank Financial will sell up to 25-30% stake to private equity investors, valuing it at about INR 10 billion, said three people with direct knowledge of the development. “The process has just started and ICICI Securities will now reach out to prospective funds," said another person with knowledge of the deal.
SBI Capital Markets Close To Win Mandate To Advise On BEML Divestment

SBI Capital Markets Limited reportedly is set to get government’s mandate to advise it on the strategic sale in BEML Limited (BSE:500048). SBI beat Kotak Securities Limited, Axis Capital Limited, ICICI Securities Limited and the big four consulting firms to emerge as the lowest bidder in the tender. As transaction advisor, SBI Caps will manage the stake sale process and assist the department of investment and public asset management derive the fair reserve price to get optimum proceeds from the divestment. The government plans to sell 26% of the BEML’s equity in the stake sell. The government also hopes to raise INR 725 billion from the divestment of its stake in various public sector companies in the next financial year.
