ORLEN And LOTOS Reportedly seeking To Buy Zabka

Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN Spolka Akcyjna (WSE:PKN) and Grupa LOTOS Spólka Akcyjna (WSE:LTS) may also team up to acquire Zabka Polska sp. z o.o., Uwazam Rze weekly stated. So far, CVC Capital Partners Limited and Eurocash SA (WSE:EUR) have been mentioned as prospective buyers.

Zabka May Reportedly Be Sold

Zabka Polska sp. z o.o. may soon be up for sale, as Mid Europa Partners LLP (MEP) is pondering such a move. According to Puls Biznesu daily, the company should have the offer ready by the end of 2016 and investors are reportedly arriving in Warsaw from all corners of the globe to take part in the race. However, the contest will not be open to all interested bidders, as three independent sources confirmed to PB that food wholesaler Eurocash SA (WSE:EUR) has been ruled out by MEP. Still, PB claims Eurocash could be allowed to place its bid at some point during the whole process. Interestingly, MEP will simultaneously be preparing Zabka for a stock market debut.

Mid Europa Repoertedly Seeks Sale Of Zabka

Mid Europa Partners LLP is planning to sell Zabka Polska sp. z o.o. Mid Europa Partners is pressing ahead with the sale of its Polish convenience chain Zabka Polska and has asked JPMorgan to handle negotiations with prospective bidders. A sales process is expected to kick off towards the end of the year. Western buyout funds and industry players have expressed interest in the business. CVC Capital Partners Limited and Eurocash SA (WSE:EUR) are expected to join the race to acquire Zabka.
