QBE Appoints Andrew Borden as New Workers Compensation General Manager, Effective March 21, 2016

QBE announced a new General Manager for Workers Compensation. Andrew Borden has been appointed to the Melbourne-based role effective 21 March 2016. He brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry with over half of that spent in the Workers Compensation sector, across rehabilitation, claims and underwriting. Andrew has been with QBE for the past three years, most recently as Regional Manager, Intermediary Distribution, Victoria and Tasmania where he established an exceptional reputation in the broker market. Andrew takes over from Jason Hammond, who was recently appointed to the newly created role of General Manager, Broker Distribution.

QBE Appoints Nick Menear as Director of Underwriting Operations

QBE has announced the appointment of Nick Menear as Director of Underwriting Operations with effect from 1 April 2015. In this new role, Nick will be responsible for fostering operational excellence within QBE's Retail and International Markets divisions. He will report to Joe Gordon, Chief Operations Officer, and will be a key member of the Operations Leadership team. Nick has over 25 years experience within the London insurance market and has held senior positions in claims, reinsurance, operations and general management. He joined QBE in 2006 as part of its British Marine acquisition.
