RATP, SNCF, Gemalto and Orange announced the creation of Wizway Solutions, a joint venture dedicated to developing contactless mobility solutions. The consortium is supported by France's Ministry for the Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs and Ministry for Transport. Wizway Solutions harnesses the expertise of each of its four partners to offer Transport Organising Authorities (TOAs) and transport companies a modern and simple ticketing solution that will facilitate door-to-door travel. Advances in technology and increased use of mobile devices together create an environment conducive to contactless solutions. These solutions are also a major vector for promoting door-to- door mass transit options and paving the way for ever more sustainable mobility.
Riyadh's Government Signs USD 2 Billion Contract with Regie Autonome des Transports Parisiens for Bus Network

Riyadh's government announced it has signed a USD 2 billion contract with Regie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP). Under the agreement, RATP is expected to supply Riyadh with 1,000 buses, with the capacity of transporting 900,000 passengers a day as well as which will be operated on a transport network, which will consist of 22 routes covering about 1,200 km all over the city. The agreement also includes the supplying of 756 metro cars, 85 stations, six metro lines and 176-km network, in a project that it is expected to be completed in three phases, the first of which will cover areas south of the capital, while the next phases will focus on the center of the city and then north and other parts of Riyadh.
RATP Wins EUR 999,000 Deal for Civil Engineering Works

RATP has awarded a EUR 999,000 (USD 1.3 million) deal to construction company Conserto for civil engineering works for construction of equipment racks for cameras and monitors. The value of the deal does not include VAT. The contract is part of a programme for modernisation of the visualisation of the passenger service of lines A and B of express trains Reseau Express Regional, or RER.
