The 121,680 square foot facility is operated by Odyssey subsidiary CMI Logistics LLC. Strategically located at the CenterPoint Intermodal Center – Joliet (CIC-Joliet)/Logistics Park Chicago (LPC), the new facility provides easy access to the BNSF intermodal rail yards through the park’s private, heavyweight road system. Additionally, the site also provides easy access for flatbed motor carriers bringing metal products into CMI from Interstates 55 and 80. Sever noted that the key features and benefits of the new facility include: ten docks, three drive-through bays, reinforced slab floors, 16 trailer positions and 6,000 square feet of office space.
Kemira Signs Agreement with Odyssey Logistics & Technology for Logistics Operations in North America and Europe

Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation announced that it has entered into a multi-year managed logistics service agreement with Kemira. Odyssey will operate Kemira’s external road transportation activities in North America and Europe. In addition to operating all North American and European external road transportation activities, the Odyssey Global Logistics Platform SM will seamlessly integrate into Kemira’s instance of SAP™ enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation broke ground on the construction of a new 121,680-square-foot metals transload facility in Joliet, Illinois. The facility will be operated by Odyssey's subsidiary CMI Logistics LLC (CMI). Situated on 17 acres in the CenterPoint Intermodal Center - Joliet (CIC-Joliet)/Logistics Park Chicago (LPC), it provides easy access to the BNSF intermodal rail yards through the park's private, heavyweight road system. The site also provides easy access for flatbed motor carriers bringing metal products into CMI from Interstate 55 and Interstate 80. Dan Leahy and Adam Roth of NAI Hiffman represented CenterPoint in the transaction. The new facility features ten docks, six drive-through doors, 16 trailer positions, nearly 6,000 square feet of office space, 51 car parking spots, and reinforced slab floors. The facility is expected to be operational by the early second quarter of 2017.
