American Innovations Introduces New MicroMax® GPS350 Current Interrupter
Mar 11 15
American Innovations announced the launch of the MicroMax GPS350. This new GPS-synchronized current interrupter builds on the capabilities of the GPS300 by integrating a Normally Closed AC/DC Solid State Relay that can interrupt up to 60 amps with on/off cycles of less than 4 seconds, and 80 A with 4 second cycles or longer. Portable interrupters are moved constantly, so quick and efficient installation is a valuable capability. With the GPS350, there is no need to wire up a standalone relay, since built-in relay can interrupt either AC or DC and is suitable for almost any rectifier. The built-in relay also contains a unique voltage suppression technology that absorbs the inductive energy released during on/off switching. The interrupter can be powered from an AC or DC source, common in most rectifiers, for dependable operation. The MicroMax GPS350 is built tough. Its hardened enclosure can withstand the most extreme treatment and severe weather conditions. As the smallest interrupter with a built-in relay on the market, MicroMax GPS350 can be installed inside many rectifiers, further protecting it from the elements, not to mention vandalism and theft. The GPS350 is simple to use. It can be programmed utilizing a straightforward built-in keypad or via USB. It functions in continuous, daily, dated and interference modes to fit any interruption schedule.
American Innovations Unveils New Bullhorn(R) RM4151 Remote Monitor for Cathodic Protection Rectifiers
May 15 14
American Innovations introduced its new Bullhorn(R) RM4151 remote monitor for cathodic protection rectifiers. Built on the same platform as its five-channel Bullhorn(R) RM4150, the RM4151 is a two-channel version that remotely monitors volt and amp measurements--with a 1% reading accuracy--from CP rectifiers. The remote monitor then sends this data, through a GSM cellular network, to AI's Web interface, Bullhorn Asset Tracker (BAT(TM)). Having this data at their fingertips enables users to more quickly and efficiently evaluate, maintain and repair their cathodic protection systems. Other Bullhorn RM4151 features include: Two analog channels that can measure a voltage as DC or AC; Worldwide GSM cellular communications for compatibility with 2G/3G/HSPA/4G networks around the globe; GPS-synchronized Interruption for close interval, depolarization and DCVG surveys; Interference mode for influence studies; Quick and easy installation; Built Bullhorn Tough, enabling it to withstand extreme working conditions.
American Innovations Announces New MicroMax GPS300 Current Interrupter
Mar 19 14
American Innovations announced the launch of the MicroMax GPS300. This newest generation GPS-synchronized current interrupter is designed specifically for cathodic protection surveys. Conceived and built on customer input, as well as the success of prior generation MicroMax interrupters, the GPS300 is simple to use. It can be programmed utilizing a straightforward built-in keypad or via USB cable. This simplicity greatly reduces programming errors, as well as prep and installation time, freeing surveyors to do the real work at-hand, surveying assets and collecting data. Additionally, MicroMax GPS300 is built tough. Not only is it electrically rugged, it's also durable enough to withstand the most extreme treatment and severe weather conditions. And as the smallest interrupter on the market, MicroMax GPS300 can be installed inside rectifiers, further protecting it from the elements, not to mention vandalism and theft. The device can be powered from an AC or DC source, common in most rectifiers, for quick installation and dependable operation. It functions in continuous, daily, dated and interference modes to fit any interruption schedule. Additionally, it's built with AC zero crossing interruption synchronization that switches when the AC voltage is at zero. This lowers stress on rectifiers and interruption switch components, reducing the possibility of rectifier and solid state relay (SSR) failure.
