KCTS 9 welcomed four new board members to the KCTS Television Board. Sacha McLean and Lynne K. Varner were elected to the board on November 19, 2015 and Richard Linneweh and Carlos Olivares have been elected to the KCTS Television Board effective February 8, 2016. Sacha McLean, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, is President and Chief Executive Officer of McLean Ventures Ltd. He is also Chairman of 50° North Productions. In addition, McLean is Vice Chairman, McLean Group. Lynne Varner is Associate Vice President for Advancement Relations and Communications Strategies at Washington State University. Varner joined the university in 2014 after a 25-year career in journalism reporting for such media outlets as United Press International, The Washington Post and the Seattle Times, where she was as an award-winning columnist and member of the Seattle Times Editorial Board. Rick Linneweh held the position of President/CEO for 37 years at Memorial Family of Services (MFS). Carlos Olivares, who is based in Yakima, has served as the Executive Director of the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) since 1986.

KCTS 9 appoints new board members Larry Estrada and Glenn Wong to the KCTS Television board, effective September 17, 2015. Larry Estrada is a Vice President in the Seattle office of Goldman Sachs. He currently serves as a board member for the Seattle Symphony, 5th Avenue Theatre, and IslandWood. Estrada has served as a director on the corporate Advisory Board for the World Economic Forum and he was a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association's (SIFMA) retirement and savings committee. Glenn Wong, who is based in Vancouver, B.C., is founder of Catalyst Solutions Ltd. Wong's extensive community involvement includes serving as a board member of the Canadian Media Fund and LIFT Philanthropy Partners. His past service includes being Vice Chair of the Vancouver Police Board as well a the boards of EComm 911, the BC Cancer Foundation, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. (immigrant social services), ICBC and UBC's Sauder School of Business Faculty Advisory Board.
