Sep 21 17
Axis Communications announced the addition of AXIS C8033 Network Audio Bridge which allows integration between analog and network audio systems and allows users to benefit from a network based system, while keeping current analog hardware. Axis also announced the 2N® SIP Mic which is a compatible network microphone console that can become a complete public address system when paired together with Axis network speakers. These latest additions to Axis’ product line increases the use of audio to enhance business operations and safety and security. By making it smart and easy, the network audio bridge and the network microphone console adds value to many different use cases, such as background music and announcements in retail businesses or paging solutions in public address systems. It is possible to combine these new products with Axis network speakers into one system, (no central electronic equipment needed). Axis network audio systems are based on open standards, making them easy to integrate with other systems. Many legacy systems use analog speakers that are not compatible with digital speaker systems or digital audio sources. AXIS C8033 Network Audio Bridge make it is possible to play music from an analog line level source like a mobile, tablet or a professional streaming box through Axis network speakers, or a connected digital audio source such as, AXIS Audio Player. The 2N® SIP Mic is a compatible network microphone console from 2N, an Axis company, for use in public address systems. This smart network microphone console offers 12 configurable buttons and allows for flexible paging in multiple zones, to make live announcements and play pre-recorded messages. With the new 2N SIP Mic, Axis network speakers can be turned into complete public address systems that are ideal for the education market. By using the network audio bridge to connect existing analog devices with Axis network audio systems, it becomes easy and cost-effective for the customer to benefit from all that the digital system offers. Network audio also means that the system is easy to scale and is flexible enough to meet the customers’ changing demands. AXIS C8033 Network Audio Bridge and 2N® SIP Mic will be available through Axis’ standard distribution channels in September 2017 with the suggested retail price of $899 and $199 respectively.

Jun 21 17
Axis Communications has integrated HID Global’s Mobile Access with its AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller and AXIS Entry Manager software at IFSEC International 2017, which takes place from June 20-22 at London ExCeL. The Axis and HID mobile access control solution meets business demands to support mobile-enabled workforces. The solution enables mobile devices such as smartphones to function as credentials, allowing people to gain access to secured buildings, rooms and areas. The integrated, open, IP-based mobile access control solution combines the convenience expected in a mobile-first world with the levels of security demanded by businesses and their employees. Mobile devices and smartphones are ubiquitous and their functionality continues to advance to include an ever more diverse set of applications, from contactless payments to health tracking. By integrating HID Global’s Mobile Access with its software and door controller, Axis has created a solution which combines the convenience expected in a mobile-first world with the levels of security demanded by businesses and their employees. The Axis and HID mobile access offering is the first IP-based, end-to-end solution. It encompasses everything necessary for small-, medium- or enterprise-sized organizations to deploy mobile access control. The solution includes: From Axis, AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller, which makes yes/no decisions about who may enter, in which areas and at what times AXIS Entry Manager access control software, which is integrated with HID Mobile Access® Portal and used to set up the systems, add new users and manage mobile IDs. From HID Global:HID’s Bluetooth enabled readers, HID Mobile Access® Portal, HID Mobile Access® App, which is available through the Apple® App Store and Google® Play. The solution stores trusted identities on smartphones for opening doors and locks instead of managing traditional printed identity credentials. This improves convenience for end users and represents a more cost-effective and simpler way to manage credentials. It also provides the levels of security and privacy protection available in access control. The integration features AXIS Entry Manager software to manage all connected AXIS A1001 Network Door Controllers as well as the HID cloud-based portal to manage users and mobile IDs. Other third-party software can also be used for integrating more advanced access management functionalities. The solution is now available through Axis’ and HID’s distribution channels. Visit the Axis stand #E1000 at IFSEC International 2017 to see a demonstration. Both Axis and HID experts will be on hand to showcase the solution.
