Barry L. MacLean, chief executive officer and chairman of MacLean-Fogg, announced the appointment of Duncan A. L. MacLean to president of MacLean-Fogg effective August 15, 2015. Duncan MacLean will remain president of MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions and, on October 15, 2015, will assume the role of president of MacLean Power Systems. Tom Smith, current president of MacLean Power Systems, will be stepping down on October 15, 2015. Tom Smithwill remain a close advisor to the company and will be committing time to support MPS.
MacLean Power Systems to Close Birmingham Facility and Lay Off Workers

MacLean Power Systems will be closing its Birmingham facility and will layoff 75 employees in the process. The company will close its Birmingham operation, at 1500 Red Hollow Rd., by October 31, 2014. The company has two other locations in Birmingham in Pelham and Alabaster, but there are no layoffs expected at those locations.
