Barry L. MacLean, chief executive officer and chairman of MacLean-Fogg, announced the appointment of Duncan A. L. MacLean to president of MacLean-Fogg effective August 15, 2015. MacLean Power Systems will be closing its Birmingham facility and will layoff 75 employees in the process. The company will close its Birmingham operation, at 1500 Red Hollow Rd., by October 31, 2014. The company has two other locations in Birmingham in Pelham and Alabaster, but there are no layoffs expected at those locations.
