Samruk-Energy To Sell Stakes In EKREC, Aktobe TETS, MREC And Tegis Munay.

Samruk-Energy Joint Stock Company will sell four large assets in the framework of the country's privatization plan for 2016-2020. Samruk-Energy will sell its 100% stake in East Kazakhstan Regional Energy Company JSC (EKREC), 100% stake in Aktobe TETS, AO, a power plant, 78.64% stake in JSC Mangistau Power Distribution Company JSC and 100% in Tegis Munay LLP. According to independent assessment, the initial price of 100% stake in EKREC is set at KZT 9.5 billion, 100% stake in Aktobe TETS at KZT 7.7 billion, 78.64% stake in MREC at KZT 7.3 billion, 100% stake in Tegis Munay TOO at KZT 16 billion. Initial bids for the stake in EKREC will be open until 3pm on January 9, 2017, Aktobe TETS until 3pm on January 16, 2017, MREC until 3pm on January 9, 2017, Tegis Munay until 3pm on December 12, 2016. Results of the second stage of the bidding process will be announced on January 25, 2017 for EKREC, February 1, 2017 for Aktobe TETS, January 25, 2017 for MREC and December 26, 2016 for Tegiz Munay.

Samruk-Energy To Privatize Assets

Samruk-Energy Joint Stock Company is implementing a privatization program to sell its stake in regional assets. On July 26, 2016, Samruk-Energy is holding an auction to sell its 50% stake in the charter capital of KazPeroxide LLP and 51% stake in Kazatomprom-Sorbent LLP. The starting price of the two assets is KZT 94.6 million and KZT 239.6 million respectively. It will also dispose off stakes in Aktobe Power Plant JSC, East Kazakhstan Regional Energy Company JSC (including ShygysEnergoTrade LLP), Mangistau Power Distribution Company JSC, Joint stock company Alatau Zharyk Company, Almaty Power Plants JSC, AlmatyEnergoSbyt LLP, Tegis Munay TOO (including Mangyshlak Munay LLP).
