Mar 18 17
Dorsch, which has been appointed the consultant for the proposed airport at Purandar, will use its vast international connect to bring in investors for the ambitious project. A senior official of Dorsch told The Times of India (TOI) that the company would work in close coordination with the Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd. (MADC) to provide it with various services. "When it comes to the project, there are two parts involved. One is the techno economic feasibility study (DPR) that will take about six months. Since the new airport is to be developed under PPP (public private partnership) model, it will require investors from the aviation sector. To bring in these investors, the detailed project report (DPR) for the project needs to be attractive," the official said.

Mihan Extends Dates For Privatization Of Nagpur Airport
Sep 6 16
Vishwas Patil, chairman of Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd. which is currently operating the Nagpur airport, said the dates have been extended till October 6. The dates have been extended because the companies which had shown interest in the pre-bid meeting had sought some more time. Interested parties want time because even other airports like Goa International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited are up for privatization. They wanted to finish with that earlier. Sources also reported that were also being invited for major airports in Goa and Navi Mumbai that certainly are the priority for private players compared to Nagpur airport. The first round was extended after operators who showed interest sought time to make internal arrangement like joint ventures between them, said a source. The priority will certainly be Goa or Navi Mumbai airports. Once those bids are finalized the same operators may have little scope for taking up Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport though the remaining ones may bid source added.
