Both companies serve as customer and supplier for each other, which means the two parties enter into the partnership on equal terms.

Hamburg Süd Reportedly To Sell Shipping Line

Hamburg Südamerikanische Dampfschifffahrts-Gesellschaft KG I seeking to sell its container shipping line, according to unconfirmed reports. China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited and Maersk Line A/S are being touted as the most likely buyers. Mikkel Elbek Linnet, spokesperson of Maersk Line said, "We cannot comment on speculation." Also, Christiane Kramer, Hamburg Süd spokesperson said, "We don't comment on any market rumor."
