AVM has presented two new Fritz!Box models for DSL and cable connections, as well as a new functionality known as mesh comfort. Fritz!Box 7590 is a DSL model that supports supervectoring 35b and reaches 300 Mbps download speeds at port. Users can use all existing analogue or ISDN terminals regardless of connections. The Fritz! Box 6590 Cable delivers internet at 1.7 Gbps in downstream over a cable connection. It includes 32x8 channel bundling based on DOCSIS 3.0.

AVM has launched the Fritz!Box 6430 Cable as an entry-level product. The router, designed to appeal to first-time users, allows for download speeds of 450 Mbps over a home Wi-Fi network. It offers a 4 GB LAN connection, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a telephone port and DECT base, as well as a media server. The product is available from EUR 159.

AVM has announced the launch of seven new FRITZ!Box models at CeBIT. The new wireless router FRITZ!Box 7580 with Multi-User MIMO technology provides many mobile devices in the home network with high-speed Wi-Fi. Equipped with a VDSL modem that supports vectoring, it can also be used on fibre optic or cable modems via the gigabit WAN port. The new FRITZ!Box 4040 can be used with DSL, cable or fibre optic modems, and has four gigabit LAN ports and dual-band Wireless AC+N. Two new FRITZ!Box models will support future speed upgrades for VDSL - FRITZ!Box 7581 for super vectoring 35b and bonding and FRITZ!Box 7582 for super vectoring 35b and G.fast. Other new models include the FRITZ!Box 6590 Cable with 32 x 8 DOCSIS channel bonding and strong wireless LAN with Multi-User MIMO; and the FRITZ!Box 6820 LTE.
