Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. Key Developments

Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. Introduces Trex™ Cemented Completions Solutions

Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. introduced TREX™ Cemented Completions Solutions, a suite of high-quality technologies designed to increase the efficiency and reduce the operational risk in cemented completions for operators worldwide. Ideal for completing lower stages in extended reach lateral wells, the TREX Cemented suite will continue to evolve with additional solutions set to expand the product line for a variety of applications. Cemented solutions within the TREX family include: QuickPORT™ IV Sleeves: Faster completion time through continuous pumping operation, provides even distribution of fluid in limited entry multipoint stimulation, diffusor™ Sleeves: Eliminates risk associated with wireline and/or coiled tubing runs in single entry point stimulation. PrimeSET™ Liner Hanger System: rotate, push and pull without early release of the tool. Large hanging load capability and API V3 qualified. Hydraulic Toe Sleeve: Eliminate coiled tubing run for toe preparation and perform high pressure casing integrity tests.

Packers Plus Launches PrimeSET Liner Hanger System

Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. launched the PrimeSET Liner Hanger system. Innovative anti-preset features ensure reliability and performance, resulting in time and cost savings for operators. Between July and December 2016, Packers Plus successfully installed and completed more than 15 wells across North America using the PrimeSET Liner Hanger system. Using premium sealing technology to pack-off the annulus and secure the liner in intermediate casing, the hanger can be used in both cemented and open hole applications. Key features of the tool include a balanced piston that prevents pre-setting while running in hole thereby enabling the system to reach planned depths. This system saves 1.5 hours of operational time per well over traditional systems. Other features of this system include: Entire hanger system is API V3 qualified; Torque lock enables liner rotation (ability to rotate, push and pull in highly deviated wells); Large bypass flow-by area prevents running tools from unlocking prematurely; Hold-down slips included for additional liner stability; Bonded element design allows for higher circulation rates and liner run in hole speeds without damaging the element.

Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. Completes 6-Stage Stackfrac System

Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. recently worked with an operator in Egypt to complete a 6-stage StackFRAC system using the Drillable Closeable (DC) FracPORT sleeve in a short timeframe. The open hole approach was chosen over the plug-and-perf method to shorten operational time, simplify operations and reduce overall cost. The DC FracPORT sleeve is a ball-actuated, hydraulically activated injection/production port. The closeable feature of the sleeve provides the operator with options to shut off water encroachment if required, reducing operational costs and optimizing production performance. The operation, installation and completion - done in conjunction with Packers Plus' global marketing alliance partner, Schlumberger - were flawlessly executed according to plan. Additional systems have been planned for late 2016.
