Cardtek and Emcredit Introduce First National Mobile Wallet Solution, emPAY

Cardtek announced its partnership with Emcredit, a subsidiary of the Dubai Economic Department, to launch the secure mobile payment platform, emPAY, offering United Arab Emirates residents a national mobile wallet solution. As a part of Dubai's Smart Government Initiative, emPay will bring together a number of service providers including commercial banks, government departments, exchange houses, retailers, educational institutions, and transportation companies, into a common platform where consumers are easily able to access and pay for a wide variety of services from a single mobile wallet platform. Through the collaboration, consumers in the UAE will be able to make retail payments (in-store and remote payment), initiate money transfers, pay for government utilities, telecommunication, and school fees, among many other options, from a single mobile wallet. Cardtek will provide Emcredit the payment infrastructure, along with mobile industry knowledge, operational services and product enhancements to support future needs. The solution basically uses NFC technology, and allows to use not only the handset of mobile devices but also the wearables.

Cardtek and DC Payments Partner to Introduce Canada's First Mobile Payment Solution for Debit Cards

Cardtek will launch Mobile Services Manager (MSM), a secure mobile payments platform, in partnership with DC Payments. This contactless payments solution, integrated with leading open wallets, enables Canadian residents to make debit expenditures from a mobile phone without presenting a bank payment card and will be available by the end of the year. This marks the first time Cardtek has integrated leading open wallet options into its products and will allow DC Payments to offer secure contactless payment services to its financial institution clients. Cardtek's MSM solution is integrated into DC Payments card management ecosystem as a gateway connecting issuers, DC Payments and a variety of Tokenization Service Providers (TSP), beginning with Interac, Canada's leading payments brand. MSM enables advanced card credential management services including deployment and life cycle management - tuned for the major digital wallets available in the market.

Cardtek and NXP Semiconductors Collaborate to Introduce Digital Payment Solution for Wearables

Cardtek has partnered with NXP Semiconductors to introduce an innovative payment system for wearables, Digital Enablement Platform. Cardtek's Digital Enablement Platform allows consumers to make safer and easier transactions in a convenient wearables solution. This includes easily on-boarding payment cards, transit tickets, access cards and any other services in wearable devices. Cardtek's payment system infrastructure, integrating NXP PN66T and P60 wearable chips, helps issuers, wearable OEMs and other service providers enable payment and non-payment services in wearables, as well as activation and deactivation of services. Cardtek offers Mobile SDK, enabling any party to develop user interfaces to have their own mobile wallet. The solution incorporates tokenization services to securely integrate tokenized payment credentials into the wearable. Cardtek also offers Instant Issuance solutions for the personalization of P60 wearable chips with printers.
