Gamma Telecom Plans to Launch New Business Mobile Service

Gamma Telecom Ltd. has announced its plans to launch a new business mobile service in the first half of 2016 using the core mobile network infrastructure. This core contains all the functionality of a mobile network and is based on the latest Ericsson software build, including 4G, and is capable of supporting emerging technologies such as 'Voice over WiFi' and VoLTE. This new service will give channel partners the same levels of customer ownership and control they have over fixed-line services, combined with a compelling mobile service designed exclusively for business use. Gamma has selected Three, based on its excellent independent performance results, to provide the primary radio access in the UK, with separate roaming agreements also now in place. The new service will include 4G as standard on all tariffs, as well as improved data monitoring with near real-time mediation and billing and more flexible data usage alerts. With this new capability Gamma believes it is well placed to help the channel provide increasing converged fixed and mobile services to the UK business market.

Gamma Telecom Ltd. Wins Multiple Awardees Contract for Innovative Connectivity, Telecommunications and Other Services

Gamma Telecom Ltd., London, won a GBP 2 billion (initial estimated total value excluding VAT) multiple awardees contract award from The Minister for the Cabinet Office acting through Crown Commercial Service to provide innovative connectivity, telecommunications and other services. This framework agreement addressed this need by facilitating the provision of innovative connectivity and telecommunications and other services for the UK public sector as a whole. The services made available under the framework agreement include data access services; local connectivity services; traditional telephony services; inbound telephony services; IP-telephony solutions; mobile, voice and data services; paging services; video conferencing; audio conferencing; and integrated communications services. Including, but not limited to, networks, Wi-Fi, gateways & related services; voice lines and minute bundles; mobile services including voice and data, pager services; email services; internet service provision, content filtering services and intruder detection systems; communication services including video and audio conferencing services, and unified communications; call centre services; and associated supporting services including but not limited to security, information assurance, design/build/operate consultancy, acquisition, technology audit and site surveys; and other services as described in this OJEU Notice; the framework agreement; the call off terms; and the call off order form. The framework agreement is suitable for the provision of services that are PSN compliant; and also for the provision of services at lower security levels; or that do not require PSN compliance. The services are required to be provided primarily to the UK, although the framework agreement may also be used by UK contracting authorities to service their overseas sites including Europe, United States (US) and Rest of the World (RoW). The contracting authority considers that this procurement is suitable for economic operators that are Small or Medium Enterprises (SMEs). For the avoidance of doubt, the contracting authority points out that no weight has been to whether or not an economic operator is an SME in assessing the most economically advantageous tender. The framework agreement has an initial term of two years with the option to extend by two further terms of up to one year each. The duration of call-off contracts placed under this framework agreement is for a maximum of 5 years with the option to extend by 2 further terms (of up to 1 year each).
