Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) announced a strategic partnership with Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance, designed to bring a behavior-based telematics program to Japan. CMT's DriveWell is a complete telematics and behavioral analytics solution, to improve safety for the connected car world. DriveWell provides actionable insights on driver behavior and vehicle dynamics to auto insurers, vehicle fleets, auto makers, wireless carriers, and government agencies, and is being used successfully in a wide range of applications. At the beginning, ADI started to use Visual Drive, a customized version of DriveWell for their company vehicles. Visual Drive allows drivers to monitor hard braking, abrupt acceleration, hard cornering, and phone movement for every trip taken all while having very limited impact on battery life. Each trip is logged and trip summaries are displayed with mapped routes complete with identified events and an overall trip score. ADI expects Visual Drive to contribute to fewer accidents and safer driving.

Hellas Direct and Cambridge Mobile Telematics Partner to Bring Innovative Telematics Smartphone Application to Greece

Hellas Direct and Cambridge Mobile Telematics launched a new mobile app and first-of-its-kind driving competition in Greece. The app is available to all WIND mobile customers in Greece, and the top rated drivers can win prizes including a VIP trip for four to the F1 Grand Prix in Monaco. The WIND Driving Challenge app runs in the background, automatically measuring driving data including speed, acceleration, hard turning, harsh braking, and phone distraction while driving. At the end of each trip, users can view their driving habits, including a one to five-star trip rating, a map of their route, and an overall driving score. Interactive leaderboards and achievements in the app show users their ranking among other drivers in Greece. Drivers can also invite friends and family to compete and use the app.

Agero, Inc. Partners with Cambridge Mobile Telematics to Develop Real-Time Accident Management Solution

Agero, Inc. announced a partnership with Cambridge Mobile Telematics to bring together a comprehensive driver safety and accident solution. The combined service will accurately detect accidents in real-time and connect drivers with accident scene response within seconds of impact. Powered by CMT's technology, called DriveWell Plus, the service connects a light hardware tag device with cloud-based analytics, utilizing information collected from the tag, smartphone sensors, and other contextual signals to accurately detect all legitimate crashes while minimizing false alarms. When an accident is detected, drivers are connected with Ageros Accident Scene Management emergency response agents, who notify proper emergency services, call personal contacts, provide roadside assistance, contact their insurer, and stay on the line to ensure that assistance arrives, potentially saving lives. Agero has been leading the industry with vehicle, driver safety, and security services for over 40 years, while CMTs hardware and smartphone technology has been successfully launched and used by hundreds of thousands of drivers worldwide.
