Continental Bakeries Reportedly Eyeing Pladis Asset

Yildiz Holding A.S.’s unit pladis global may sell some stake. Just-food reported that pladis looking to sell French brand BN. It added that Continental Bakeries B.V. has been named as a potential suitor. Le Figaro reported that Pladis could be about to sell BN, also known as la Biscuterie Nantaise. The report added that the potential sale has attracted a number of suitors but Continental Bakeries is said to have entered exclusive negotiations. Just-Food mentioned that neither company would comment on the report.

Yildiz Plans To Float New Company

Yildiz Holding A.S. has plans to float its new company on the London Stock Market by 2020. Cema Karakas, pladis global's Chief Executive, said the firm would now embark on a bold growth strategy - including expanding McVitie's products into new global markets and entering the UK's premium chocolate industry - as it targets a London listing within the next four years. Yildiz Holding is launching a new global confectionery and biscuits company called Pladis by combining United Biscuits (Holdings) Limited, Godiva Chocolatier, Inc., Ülker Çikolata Sanayi A.S. and DeMet's Candy Company.
