American Midstream Partners, LP Enters Agreement with Dakota Access Pipeline to Extend Pipeline

American Midstream Partners, LP entered into an agreement with Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL), the 1,172-mile 30-inch pipeline that extends from its Bakken formation production area in North Dakota to Patoka, Illinois. As part of the deal, the DAPL interconnect will tie into the Bakken crude oil gathering system, which consists of interstate pipelines that have a capacity to transport up to about 40,000 barrels per day. Leveraging off the recent additions to the Partnership's system and the new connection to DAPL, the company will be able to deliver an incremental 20,000 barrels per day to market.

Dakota Access, LLC Receives Easement from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to Construct Pipeline Across Land

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. announced that Dakota Access, LLC (Dakota Access) has received an easement from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Army Corps) to construct a pipeline across land owned by the Army Corps on both sides of Lake Oahe in North Dakota. With this action, Dakota Access now has received all federal authorizations necessary to proceed expeditiously to complete construction of the pipeline. The Dakota Access pipeline consists of approximately 1,172 miles of new 30-inch diameter crude oil pipeline from North Dakota to Patoka, Illinois, and the Energy Transfer Crude Oil Pipeline consists of more than 700 miles of existing pipeline that has been converted to crude oil service from Patoka to Nederland, Texas. Morton County Landowners Files a lawsuit on Dakota Access

Morton County landowners who claim Dakota Access LLC deceived them into accepting an unfair price for pipeline easements are seeking more than $4 million in damages in a federal lawsuit. A group of landowners claims in a U.S. District Court case that Dakota Access agents harassed, threatened and intimidated them and used fraud and misleading statements to secure a lower price in exchange for allowing the pipeline to cross their land. Most of the landowners in the group accepted $216 per rod for pipeline easements, but later found out some of their neighbors received as high as $2,000 per rod, the lawsuit states. A rod is 16½ feet.
