ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC Plans to Invests KZT 330 Million to Reduce Sintering Emissions

ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC plans to invest over KZT 330 million in modernization of aspiration and gas-cleaning systems in the sintering shop. Bag filters quipped with special high-performance fabrics will be installed to reach a de-dusting level of 99.9%. The construction and installation works will be carried out in six months.

Arcelormittal Temirtau Appoints Ashok Sonthalia as CFO

ArcelorMittal has appointed Ashok Sonthalia as CFO of the company's Kazakhstan unit, ArcelorMittal Temirtau. Sonthalia had been cfo at ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, in Ukraine, since July 2012. Prior to that, Sonthalia worked at ArcelorMittal's global headquarters in Luxembourg, looking after the overall finance function for the company's Asia, Africa and CIS operations. Kriviy Rih's head of accounting and financial reporting department of finance administration since 2011, Pavel Zadorozhniy, has been appointed acting cfo, but will also retain his current role.

ArcelorMittal Temirtau Announces Board Changes

ArcelorMittal Temirtau has appointed Vadim Basin as Director of the Department for Steel Production. He took over after Dzhakan Mukhamedzhanov, who resigned on his own accord. Prior, Basin worked as deputy executive director of the plant's repair service. Evgeniy Romashchin was appointed as the director of the coal production department. Prior, he was head of Ukraine-based Corum, formerly Mining Machineries.
