BARC Connects Strengthens Broadband Portfolio With Alianza Inc. VoIP Solution
May 10 17
Alianza Inc. announced that BARC Connects, a wholly owned broadband subsidiary of BARC Electric Cooperative, has selected Alianza’s Cloud Voice Platform to launch a full suite of residential and commercial phone services. BARC is one of the latest electric cooperatives to better serve its members by delivering a suite of modern fiber-based broadband services. In preparation for the systemwide fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) project, BARC Connects extensively surveyed customers and discovered that offering reliable phone service remains vitally important to its members. BARC also determined that offering phone services would add margin-rich revenue to help accelerate its ROI for fiber deployment. BARC Connects expects to launch services in the summer of 2017. BARC Connects selected Alianza for its VoIP solution as it best aligned with the service launch plans and makes deploying phone service easy financially and operationally. Cloud Voice Platform is a comprehensive and modern web-scale voice solution purpose-built for broadband providers; it provides every network and software function required to deliver and support VoIP-based phone services. A true cloud solution, Alianza’s solution does not require capital expenditure or the installation of complex equipment in the broadband operator’s network. Alianza’s success-based business model reduces risk and maximizes cash flow for service providers.
Alianza Inc. Powers Broadband Phone Services for Electric Cooperatives
Feb 27 17
Alianza Inc. has announced that Co-Mo Connect, Maquoketa Valley Electric Cooperative, NEXT, powered by North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, and OzarksGo have selected Alianza's Cloud Voice Platform to power phone services over their growing fiber broadband networks. These electric cooperatives will offer essential broadband services to a total of more than 120,000 homes and businesses in their serving areas once construction is complete. This new customer adoption coincides with Alianza's investment in fiber VoIP solutions and ecosystem partnerships to build a strong community of cooperatives enabled with powerful broadband applications. As they brought electric power to rural areas in the United States early last century, electric cooperatives are leading the charge in delivering fiber-based broadband services to these same underserved markets. They not only serve their residential and business members with modern voice, video and high-speed Internet services, but they also spur economic growth in their local communities.
