JSC NEC Neva Communications Systems and JSC Russian Racecourses Sign Memorandum of Understanding

NEC Corporation announced that JSC NEC Neva Communications Systems (NEC Neva) and JSC Russian Racecourses have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. The agreement enables the companies to cooperatively explore opportunities in fields that include Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the modernization of electronic and multimedia systems for sports facilities and stadium (hippodrome) infrastructure. The MoU was signed by Akihiro Sakurai, the Managing Director of NEC Neva, and Nikolay Isakov, the General Director of JSC Russian Racecourses. The companies have agreed to communicate, hold joint conferences and round tables, as well as to organize a series of work meetings with the aim of developing programs of mutual interest. JSC Russian Racecourses and NEC Neva plan to cooperate in the field of telecommunications and the provision of information and computer technologies for the construction and modernization of Russia's hippodromes. The parties will create joint working groups in order to develop specific programs for achieving the goals stated in the MoU.
CJSC NEC Neva Communications Systems Supplies Megafon with Advanced Ultra-Compact Microwave Radio System

NEC Corporation announced that its subsidiary, CJSC NEC Neva Communications Systems (NEC Neva), has supplied its iPASOLINK EX microwave radio system featuring the addition of a Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI), for the Siberian branch of PJSC MegaFon. This is NEC's first commercial deployment of this new technology in Russia. iPASOLINK EX systems with CPRI interfaces operate in a lightly-licensed frequency range of 71GHz to 86GHz and are capable of providing data transmission speeds up to 3Gb/s. MegaFon is using iPASOLINK with CPRI interfaces on its LTE network for the first time. NEC is also scheduled to deliver iPASOLINK EX for the Far East branch of MegaFon by the end of 2015, all of which will help MegaFon to accelerate the deployment of 3G and LTE networks. PASOLINK EX is an all-outdoor compact radio unit with E-band microwave spectrum, providing high network capacities and low licensing costs in comparison with other radio solutions.
