Olga Longan has joined California Dairies, Inc. (CDI) as executive team as senior vice president and CFO. Longan will be responsible for the financial, accounting, treasury, information technology and risk management functions within CDI. Based at CDI's corporate headquarters in Visalia, Calif., she will report to CEO, Andrei Mikhalevsky. Longan joins CDI with 25 years of finance experience as CFO and controller with expertise in the areas of acquisitions, negotiations, business development and information systems strategy. Longan was most recently with HM.Clause, an international company dedicated to the development of vegetable seeds, where she was the global chief financial officer. Her previous experience includes CFO at NutraCea, partner at Tatum Partners, vice president and controller at Wal-Mart and CFO of Ford Motor Company of Brazil.

CDI Completes Visalia Plant Expansion

California Dairies, Inc. (CDI) announced it has commissioned a new evaporator at its Visalia, California plant. The addition of a third evaporator at the Visalia plant moves CDI’s export powder portfolio up the value chain in to higher specification powders. The additional evaporator provides CDI the ability to produce low-spore nonfat dry milk and skim milk powder, in addition to high heat, heat stable and low-spore milk powders for UHT application. The expansion and enhancement of its assets and product offerings not only enables CDI to meet its customer needs for value-added milk powders, but also increases CDI presence in the global marketplace.
