Valent U.S.A. Corporation announced the release of Valor EZ; a liquid formulation of the company's herbicide, Valor. Named Valor EZ Herbicide1 for its easy-to-mix, in-tank suspension properties, Valor EZ is an ideal residual partner for the Roundup Ready® Xtend Crop System. With its easy mixing and loading and great suspensibility, Valor EZ helps provide growers a residual herbicide that is easy to use at all stages of the application process. Available for the 2017 growing season for use on soybeans and cotton, Valor EZ provides residual protection against a broad spectrum of weeds, including tough-to-control waterhemp and Palmer amaranth, for four to six weeks.

Valent Names David Nothmann Vice President of Marketing

Valent U.S.A. Corporation announced the appointment of David Nothmann as vice president of marketing. Nothmann will be responsible for leading the marketing organization and directing the strategic planning process for Valent products and services in North America. His specific duties include overseeing all traditional and biorational marketing teams in crop and non-crop markets in the United States. He will also have responsibility for Valent Canada and will sit on the advisory team for Valent de Mexico. Previously, Nothmann was vice president of agribusiness and alternative energy at Battelle, and served on the executive leadership team at ArborGen Inc.

Iteris Signs ClearAg Agreement with Valent U.S.A. Corporation to Provide Product Performance Applications

Iteris, Inc. has entered into an agreement with Valent U.S.A. Corporation to provide premium, field-level weather, soil content, and crop protection product performance applications through ClearAg™ application programming interfaces (APIs); meteorological and agronomic professional services; and, data science and engineering services. Iteris’ ClearAg APIs and technology and professional resources will support Valent with data acquisition and analysis of crop protection product performance related to weather, soil conditions, and various other factors affecting crop production in the U.S. Specifically, Iteris will provide Valent with access to current, historical, climatological, and forecasted, field-level weather conditions, as well as crop canopy-level soil moisture and temperature information at varying depths beneath the ground surface. Iteris’ ClearAg meteorologists, agronomists, and scientists will support Valent crop experts to investigate relationships between crop responses and weather and soil conditions over time. Additionally, Iteris and Valent will collaborate to develop systems that permit customized field or zone modeling capabilities so that soil, vegetation, and/or topographic properties can be specified as a factor in the diagnosis or prognosis of how soil temperature and moisture conditions impact crop growth at several different depths within a soil profile. Iteris will help analyze detailed ClearAg-based datasets and surface elevation data, and provide analytics to deliver custom field modeling capabilities to Valent.
