Atlantic Airways has signed a firm order for one new Airbus A320. The aircraft will be delivered at the end of 2016, enabling the carrier to tap into the growing passenger market between the Faroes and Copenhagen. Atlantic Airways' A320 will have 168 seats.

Atlantic Airways Reports Earnings Results for 2014

Atlantic Airways reported earnings results for 2014. The annual results in 2014 more than doubled compared to 2013. The results before taxes were DKK 20.2 million compared to DKK 8.7 million in 2013. Results after taxes were DKK 16.5 million in 2014 compared to DKK 7.1 million in 2013. Revenue increased with 6%, from DKK 542.2 million in 2013 to DKK 573.7 million in 2014. The number of passengers rose from 225,200 in 2013 to 237,028 in 2014, a growth of 5%. This is an excellent result for a busy year with increase in both revenue and passengers. Business activity has been high and the company has undergone thoroughgoing structural changes. Good year-end results, strong liquidity and an increase in passengers while executing significant structural changes.
