CBS Shots Down Rumors To Buy Lions Gate

CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) Chief Executive Officer Les Moonves shot down the rumor that CBS was interested in buying Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (NYSE:LGF.A) but said if Cable News Network, Inc. were to come up for sale, he'd definitely look at it: "CNN is a very worthy news organization... it's something that could enhance CBS. But I don't think that's on the table right now. If it came up later on, it would be something we would look at."

CNN International Commercial has appointed Kimmy Ho as director of content sales and partnerships for North Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Ho is responsible for increasing content and services available for CNN's North Asian affiliates and partners. She will work with existing partners and new TV and digital publishers across the region to license CNN's premium content and provide access to reporting, consultancy and training. She will also optimize opportunities to launch CNN-branded linear and digital partnerships with local players which will help strengthen CNN's presence in North Asia.
