Yealands Wine Group Announces Executive Changes

Yealands Wine Group has announced the appointment of Adrian Garforth MW to the position of CEO. Peter Yealands, founder of the company, announced that after a comprehensive international recruitment process, he was delighted to announce Adrian as the incoming CEO replacing Jason Judkins, who had led the company for the previous 9 years. Adrian is currently vice chairman of the Institute of Masters of Wine, and will become Chairman in 2018. Adrian will be based in the Yealands Auckland Commercial Office, but spend a large portion of his time internationally and across the company's Hawke's Bay and Marlborough wineries.

Hawke’s Bay Winery Operation Up For Sale

Yealands Estate Limited has put its vertically-integrated wine operation in Hawke’s Bay’s on the market for sale. The operation is run under the Crossroads brand. The vineyard and operations being sold encompass three separate vineyards in the bay, along with a plant capable of pressing more than 700 tons of grapes and storing the resulting juice in 59 tanks, and cellar door retail premises which attract more than 5,000 visitors annually. Three vineyard blocks within Hawke’s Bay are for sale are the 10.98 hectare Home Block vineyard in Korokipo Road, Hastings, the 59.1 hectare Kereru vineyard in Kereru Road, Maraekakaho, Hastings and the 11.83 hectare Gimblett Gravels vineyard on Omahu and Mere Roads near Hastings.

Yealands Seeks To Sell Crossroads Operations

Yealands Estate Limited has put the crossroads operations up for sale. The sale also includes three vineyards, the winery and the cellar door.
