SCB Securities Company Limited announced audited company earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2014. For the period, net profit was THB 247,521,000 or THB 1.24 per share against THB 363,614,000 or THB 1.82 per share a year ago. As the change of operating results was more than 20%, the company clarified that the main variances comparing to last year were: Brokerage fees income from Securities Business decreased by 26.02% from the same period of last year. There was the result of decrease in average daily trading volume of SET. Fees and service income comprised of underwriting fee, private fund management fee and selling agent fee, which decreased by 72.11% from the same period of last year. This was due to the decreasing of underwriting fee income. Gain on investments in securities and derivatives were increased by 22.96% from the same period of last year. Mostly this was due to changing the investment strategy.
