VivaCell Starts New Stage of LTE Network Expansion

VivaCell plans to continue the expansion of its LTE network. The network currently covers 46.6% of the country's residents. The operator plans to start the new stage of its LTE network expansion. The services will be launched in the towns of Abovyan, Ashtarak, Egvard, Artik, Berd, Kapan, Megri, Agarak, Ekhegnadzor, Vayk, Stepanavan and Spitak. After completion of the expansion, 52.5% of the country's population will be covered with the LTE network of the operator.

VivaCell Reports Earnings Results for the First Quarter of 2016

VivaCell reported earnings results for the first quarter of 2016. For the quarter, the company's revenues decreased by 16.4% year-on-year, down to AMD 14.151 billion. Adjusted OIBDA dropped by 31.0%, to AMD 5.618 billion. The net profit decreased by 90.1%, to AMD 239 million. Capital expenditure totaled RUB 99 million.

Vivacell Announces Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Capital Expenditure for the Nine Months Ended 2015

VivaCell announced earnings results for the third quarter and capital expenditure for the nine months ended 2015. For the quarter, the company’s revenues declined by 12.6% year-on-year to AMD 19.296 billion as the weak economy depressed international and roaming traffic. OIBDA dropped by 17.2% to AMD 9.984 billion. The net profit decreased to AMD 4.107 billion. ARPU totaled AMD 2,940, up from AMD 2,836 in the second quarter but down from AMD 3,379 a year ago. Capital expenditure totaled RUB 476 million in January-September, down from RUB 1.142 billion in the year-earlier period.
